Research Interests: Prof. Madinya develops computational and theoretical methods to study charged macromolecules in solution for applications such as ion-conductive membranes and engineered peptides. He is interested in designing polyelectrolyte-grafted nanoparticles for use as environmentally responsive drug-delivery vehicles using coarse-grained molecular simulations. He is also developing simulation methods to better understand liquid-liquid phase separation in intrinsically disordered proteins.
